It occurs to me that the most important part of the trip, (after being inspired by the place) is the planning that goes into realizing the dream. Lucky you, dear reader, it's my favorite part. I LOVE trip planning! Coordinating all the details really gets my rocks off. So for those of you that find this part tedious, arduous or uninspiring, I got you. Follow along as I show you how I find all these great places, schedule my time, get from place to place and most importantly; find the best value for money everywhere I go. 

Let’s get this party started with a short trip I have coming up: 24 hours in Barcelona. My parents are coming to visit from the states and as they are travel babies, I’m going there to pick them up from the airport and bring them back to my region of Spain. I’m getting there in advance so I can decompress from my chaos toddlers and gear myself up for the gauntlet that is my parents. 

Let’s begin! I’ve already booked my hotel. I use Booking. Of the sites I’ve used in my past 20 years of adventures, I’ve consistently found them the easiest to use, and appreciate the discounts they offer. As I come across other booking sites or resources I like, I will be sure to share them in blog articles, always feel free to ask if you have any questions. I also haven’t explored Poble Nou that much so I’m excited to get better knowledge of this barrio. 

What to do in 24 hours? I’m not going to try to get all of Barcelona in with the time I have but instead set simple goals to achieve. I’m going to explore my new neighborhood, enjoy the hotel, find good eats, get my nails done, have a fancy cocktail and see if there are any “def should see” locations in Poble Nou.
