"I’m going to explore my new neighborhood, enjoy the hotel, find good eats, get my nails done, have a fancy cocktail and see if there are any “def should see” locations in Poble Nou."
That was the plan but the closer I get to this quick trip, the more I find myself in need of respite. So I'm going to adjust my needs a little while keeping my previous goals in mind. If I don't touch on the above points and you want to learn more, comment below and I'd be delighted to look into that for you.
I'm definitely going to have good eats because frankly cuisine is my favorite part of cultural exploration. Instead of looking at foods local to Barcelona, typical dishes in Catalonia or even haute cuisine that Catalans are famous for; I'm looking for the healthiest and most nutritious spots I can find within walking distance. My organs needs some love.
I'm too tired for a nail salon. That's right, I'm too tired for what is routine care for many and usually a very relaxing experience. Toddler life is brutal. I would fucking love a massage though, so I'm seeking that out instead.
Fancy cocktail? There are many great places for this but honestly for the sake of my liver, I'm going to avoid alcohol. Halal ya'll. I do understand Halal is about respectful butchering of animals within Islam and under divine law. I could not resist the word play so please forgive me and let's move to our next section.
The def sees? For that we need to learn about our neighborhood in question: Poble Nou. Let's begin. See you in Part 3.
